Se han preguntado ¿por qué escogen vestir una marca y no otra? ¿por confort? ¿diseño? ¿precio? ¿status?

Lo primero que debo decir es que la elegancia va de la mano de la calidad de lo que vistes y no de su precio. A todos nos ha pasado que compramos algo muy costoso de marca reconocida que se ve barato (no en el sentido del costo sino del estilo) o simplemente no nos queda. Así como también hemos encontrado tesoros por poco dinero que duran mucho tiempo en nuestro armario.

Actualmente, la moda y el pensamiento colectivo ha evolucionado más allá del nombre del diseñador o la marca, invitándonos a comprar el producto por su calidad y diseño, promocionando el talento local que aprecia nuestro apoyo, y que muchas veces se convierte en exclusivo por las pocas cantidades que producen de una prenda.

Lo ideal es tener en el closet prendas que nos representen y nos queden bien dentro de lo que nuestro estilo de vida nos permita. Es claro que no sería congruente comprar marcas de lujo si debes empeñar tu salario para hacerlo y comprar imitaciones es tan poco conveniente, que lo trataremos en otro post. Pero si puedes permitírtelo, está bien.

Lo importante es que cuando decidas comprar una marca reconocida y/o costosa, lo hagas porque te gusta, quieres y puedes, no por demostrar alguien que no eres que vive como no puedes.

Cuando escogí el atuendo que visto en estas fotos noté que ninguna de las prendas tiene marca, pero su calidad, textura y color me llevaron a comprarlas. Además, fueron elaboradas por compañías incipientes que quieren abrirse camino en este vasto mundo de la moda y eso me hace sentir que aporto en algo a su crecimiento.

Es sorprendente el mundo de posibilidades que puedes encontrar si compras prendas porque te enamoras de ellas y no por una etiqueta. Y piensa, si miles de personas compran las mismas marcas ¿por qué no salirse del molde? Si los seres humanos somos únicos e irrepetibles, ¡que lo sea también nuestra ropa!

Have you asked yourselves ¿why you choose to wear one brand and not another? ¿for comfort? ¿design? ¿price? ¿status?

The first thing I must say is that elegance depends of the quality of what you wear and not its price. It has happened to all of us, that we buy something very expensive from a recognized brand that looks cheap (not in the sense of cost but rather in style) or simply does not fit to us. As well as we have found treasures for less money that last a long time in our closet.

Currently, fashion and collective thinking has evolved beyond the name of the designer or brand, inviting us to buy the product for its quality and design, promoting the local talent that appreciates our support, and that often becomes exclusive by the few quantities that they produce.

The ideal is to have clothes that represent us and fit us well within what our lifestyle allows us. It is clear that it would not be congruent to buy luxury brands if you must pawn your salary to do so, and buy imitations is so inconvenient, that we will talk about it in another post. But if you can afford it, it is fine. The important thing is that when you decide to buy a recognized and/or expensive brand, do it because you like it, you want it and you can do it, not to prove something unreal about you.

When I chose this outfit, I noticed that none of the items have a brand, but their quality, texture and color led me to buy them. In addition, they were developed by incipient companies that want to make their own way in this vast world of fashion, and that makes me feel that I contribute something to their growth.

It is surprising the world of possibilities that you can find, if you buy clothes because you fall in love with them and not by a label. In addition, if thousands of people buy the same brands, we should get out of the uniform. If human beings are unique and unrepeatable, ¡so is our clothes should be!
