Hola a todos.

¿Recuerdan cuando nos estigmatizaban por ser colombianos? Durante las décadas de los 80 y 90´s éramos tratados como traficantes de drogas de pequeña o gran escala. Vivimos una violencia que ni queremos recordar y debido al torbellino en el que estaba nuestro país, pedir visa a cualquier parte del mundo era un suplicio, tanto que casi no podíamos obtener la de Estados Unidos ni la Schengen, porque nuestros productos reconocidos internacionalmente más allá del café y las flores eran ciertas cosas malas.

De un tiempo para acá, somos más que noticias negativas y nuestras exportaciones aumentaron a telas y moda, cantantes y actores, deportistas y escritores, intelectuales y científicos, y hasta novelas de talla internacional. Ahora nos sentimos orgullosos de quienes somos, de nuestros avances, de nuestra idiosincrasia y de nuestro país. Incluso han surgido campañas para aumentar el turismo a Colombia, para mostrar la calidez de su gente y para que se atrevan a descubrirnos (otra vez).

Así que con la tendencia actual de llevar mensajes en camisetas o chaquetas (Ojalá positivos Melania…) me encontré con esta bolsa que le dice al mundo que ella y yo somos “hechas en Colombia” y que estamos orgullosas de serlo.

De hecho, escribiendo este artículo noté que todo mi atuendo está formado por prendas colombianas y entonces me siento más feliz de mostrarle a quienes me leen fuera de mi país, que aquí hacemos ropa linda y colorida con amor, flores para conquistar, café con pasión y miles de maravillosos productos que necesitaría otro artículo para contarles.

Yo me siento orgullosa de haber nacido en este bello país, y de ver que con esfuerzo vamos mejorando cada día. Espero que disfruten las fotos y que se sientan enamorados de su país de nacimiento estén donde estén.

¿Do you remember when we were stigmatized for being Colombians? During the 80s and 90s, we were treated as small or large-scale drug dealers. We lived a violence that we do not want to remember, and due to the whirlwind in which our country was, to ask for a visa to any part of the world was an ordeal. So much so that we could hardly get the United States visa or the Schengen, because our products internationally recognized beyond of coffee and flowers were some bad things.

From a time here, we are more than negative news and our exports increased to fabrics and fashion, singers and actors, athletes and writers, intellectuals and scientists, and even tv shows of international fame (Soap). Now we are proud of who we are, of our advances, of our idiosyncrasies and of our country.

Even, there have been campaigns to increase tourism to Colombia, to show the warmth of its people and to dare to discover us (again).

Therefore, with the current trend of wear t-shirts or jackets with messages (positive messages, Melania …) I found this bag that tells the world that we are «made in Colombia» and we are proud to be.

In fact, writing this post I noticed that all my clothes in this outfit were made in Colombia, and I feel happier to show those who read me outside of my country, that here we make beautiful and colorful clothes with love. Also Flowers to conquer, coffee with passion and thousands of wonderful products that I would need another post to tell you.

I am proud to have been born in this beautiful country, and to see that with effort we are improving every day. I hope you enjoy the photos and feel in love with your country wherever you are.
