Hola a todos.

Les cuento que tuve una revelación al estilo Buda este fin de semana… les explico:

Durante varias semanas ha llovido en Bogotá todos los días, a veces todo el día y toda la noche. Y como es una ciudad fría yo pensaba que debería llover en ciertas ciudades más secas donde el agua era más necesaria.

Sin embargo, como casi no veo ni leo noticias no estaba enterada que en otras ciudades de mi país e incluso en otros países está lloviendo muchísimo. Y de hecho lo supe gracias a que algunas personas que sigo en redes sociales compartieron graciosos memes sobre su situación de exceso hídrico. ¡Y yo pensaba que era sólo aquí!

Y luego pensé… (aquí viene mi momento Iluminado del fin de semana) … ¿Cuántas veces por estar metidos en nuestro aguacero, creemos que los demás sólo tienen sol? ¿Cuántas veces no miramos más allá de nuestra situación difícil y pensamos que los demás no las tienen, y pueden estarla sobrellevando silenciosa y estoicamente?

Estamos tan metidos en nuestros asuntos que nos parecen tan enormes e importantes que a veces hasta nos sobrepasan como humanos, nos olvidamos de los demás y de ser un poco más compasivos. Es un trabajo diario que debemos hacer y que les confieso muchas veces es difícil lograr para mí.

Seguiremos intentándolo. Por el momento, celebremos que la lluvia cesó por un día y pudimos disfrutar de una linda tarde con una de mis combinaciones favoritas: vestido veraniego y cárdigan. Amo éste de flores en fondo negro, largo y cómodo; y creo que este saco me acompaña hace como 10 años y aún sigo usándolo con mucha frecuencia. El color es un éxito.

Hello everyone.

I had a revelation in the Buddha style last weekend … I explain:

For several weeks, it has rained in Bogotá every day, sometimes all day and all night. And since it’s a cold city, I thought it should rain in certain drier cities where water was most needed.

However, since I almost did not see or read news, I was not aware that it is raining a lot in other cities of my country and even in other countries. I knew it thanks to some people that I follow in social networks shared funny memes about their situation of excess water. ¡I thought it was only here!

Then I thought … (here comes my Illuminated moment of the weekend) … ¿How many times we are stuck in our downpour, and we believe that others only have sun? ¿How many times do we not look beyond our difficult situation and think that others do not have them, and maybe they are bearing it silently and stoically?

We are so involved in our affairs that they seem so huge and important to us that sometimes they even surpass us as human beings, we forget others and we are not compassionate. It is a daily work that we should try to do, and that I confess many times is difficult to achieve for me.

We will keep trying. For the moment, let us celebrate that the rain stopped for a day and we could enjoy a nice afternoon with one of my favorite combinations: summer dress and cardigan. I love this one with flowers on black background, long and comfortable; and I think this cardigan has been with me for about 10 years and I still use it a lot. Color is a hit.
