Ayer fue Navidad. En Colombia cenamos y compartimos en familia el 24 en la noche y en otros países el 25 en la mañana las familias se reúnen para abrir los regalos.

Esta es una de mis celebraciones favoritas, sólo superada por mi cumpleaños. Me encanta la cena y sus preparativos, reunirnos alrededor del árbol de navidad y entregar los regalos para ver las caras de felicidad de quienes amamos.

Esta vez, celebré con la familia de mi novio en la fría Bogotá, para lo que vestí un pantalón estampado azul y rosa, con zapatos Oxford en tonos pastel y un lindo abrigo abierto rosa.

Es de los pocos pantalones que uso y me encantaron porque aparte de lindos son muy cómodos. Y los zapatos con ese toque masculino también son nuevos en mi estilo, como una forma de usar poco a poco más zapatos bajos para cuidar la anatomía de mis pies.

Comimos, compartimos, cantamos, y celebramos estar en familia y llenos de bendiciones.

Les deseo una feliz navidad llena de cosas buenas.

Yesterday was Christmas. In Colombia, we had dinner and share with the family on the 24th at night and in other countries on the 25th in the morning the families wake up and run to open the gifts.

This is one of my favorite celebrations, only surpassed by my birthday. I love dinner and its preparations, sit around the Christmas tree and deliver the gifts to see the happy faces of those we love.

This time, I celebrated with my boyfriend’s family in cold Bogotá, and I wore blue and pink print trousers, with Oxford shoes and a cute pink open coat.

This is one of the few pants that I have, and I loved them because apart from cute it are very comfortable. And the shoes with that masculine touch are new in my style, as a way to use more low shoes to take care of the anatomy of my feet.

We celebrate being in family and full of blessings. I wish you a merry Christmas full of good things.

Diciembre está lleno de eventos sociales con amigos, con la familia o en la empresa en la que trabajamos y cada tipo de evento merece y exige que estemos no sólo vestidos bonitos si no que estemos acorde a la ocasión.

En Bogotá, muchos de los eventos se realizan a las afueras de la ciudad para disfrutar del aire libre y la naturaleza… pero eso no significa que cualquier cosa que usemos sirve.

Hay que pensar en el clima: si está soleado o lloviendo, o si como en Bogotá, tenemos todos los climas en un día pues hay que estar preparados y además, cómodos.

Los zapatos bajos como estos botines son apropiados para no enterrar los tacones en el pasto y cubrir el pie de la lluvia o frío, y los leggins negros son una buena opción para variar el jean y ofrecen cobertura para el frío y además si son de buena calidad y corte, suelen verse menos formales que los primeros.

Y finalmente, una camisa blanca con un diseño muy original: larga con aberturas a los lados y mensaje en la espalda. El toque final de un atuendo que a simple vista es simple, pero como les he dicho antes, los pequeños detalles hacen la diferencia.

Ahora, a disfrutar del sol que nos acompaña por estos días y de esta época que es para mí la mejor del año.

Hello everyone.

December is full of social events with friends, with the family or in the company in which we work and each event deserves and demands our clothes are according to the occasion.

In Bogotá, many of the celebrations take place outside of the city to enjoy the nature… but that does not mean that whatever we use will works.

We have to think about the weather: if it is sunny or raining, or if, as in Bogotá, we have all the climates in a day you have to be prepared and comfortable.

These boots are appropriate not to bury the high heels in the grass and cover the foot of the rain or cold, and black leggings are a good option and offer coverage for the cold and also if they are good quality and fit, look less formal than the first.

Finally, a white shirt with a very original design: long with openings on the sides and message on the back. The final touch of an outfit that at first sight is simple, but as I said before, the small details make the difference.

Now, to enjoy the sun that accompanies us these days and this season. For me is the best of the year.

En estas épocas todos queremos comprar ropa y accesorios nuevos para renovar nuestro armario de cara a las fiestas decembrinas y al nuevo año.

Sin embargo, a veces nos pasa que compramos y compramos y el closet está repleto de ropa y nada nos sirve. Yo también he caído en ese error y ahí es cuando la frase “No tengo nada que ponerme” sale a la luz. Porque tenemos ropa de 1925 que está pasada de moda o dañada por el uso, y otra que ya no nos queda y esperamos bajar de peso para usarla o pensamos que si nos queda ancha sirve para un futuro embarazo, y guardarla bajo esas suposiciones sólo ocupa espacio en nuestro closet.

Así como no puedes sostener más cosas si tus manos están ocupadas, no llegará a tu closet más ropa linda y moderna que de verdad puedas usar si no liberas espacio para recibirlas.

Por eso hoy les propongo destinar un día del fin de semana para que en calma y con la cabeza fría hagan limpieza de closet y revisen toda su ropa, zapatos, bolsos y accesorios, definiendo cuáles piezas deben quedarse, cuáles deben desecharse y cuáles pueden donarse.

Ésta última actividad me parece la más loable de todas. Todos tenemos familiares o amigos en situaciones difíciles que recibirán con agrado las cosas que ya no usamos. Y si no conocemos a nadie en estas condiciones, hay instituciones, fundaciones y/o iglesias que también estarán felices con este gesto. Y Así, además de estar listos para adquirir nuevas cosas, haremos un bien a aquellos que lo necesitan.

Estas fotos las tomamos hace varios meses, y ninguna de las prendas siguen conmigo porque cumplieron su tiempo y las doné. Pero inspiraron este post.

Hello everyone.

In these times, we all want to buy new clothes and accessories to renew our wardrobe for the holiday season and the New Year.

However, sometimes it happens that we buy and buy many things, and our closet is full of clothes and nothing fit us. I have also fallen into that mistake and that is when we use the phrase «I have nothing to wear». Because we have clothes from 1925 that are outdated or damaged by use, and another that we hope to wear when lose weight or maybe in a future pregnancy, and keeping it under those assumptions only occupies space in our closet.

Just as you cannot hold more things if your hands are busy, you will not get more beautiful and trendy clothes that you really can use, if you do not free space to receive them.

That is why today I propose to you, to spend a day of the weekend so that calm and with cool head clean the closet and check all your clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, defining which pieces should stay, which should be discarded and which can be donated.

This last activity seems to me the most commendable of all. We all have relatives or friends in difficult situations who will welcome the things we no longer use. Moreover, if we do not know anyone in these conditions, there are institutions, foundations and / or churches that will also be happy with this gift. Therefore, in addition to being ready to acquire new things, we will do well to those who need it.

We took these pictures several months ago, and none of the pieces is still with me because they fulfilled their time and I donated them. However, they inspired this post.
