Hace unos años una campaña publicitaria invitaba a visitar la ciudad de Bogotá para estar “2600 metros más cerca de las estrellas” tomando como premisa principal la altura que tiene ésta sobre el nivel del mar.

Aprovechando un lindo día soleado, estuvimos con mi pareja 192 metros más cerca aún del firmamento, divisando la inmensidad de la ciudad desde el mirador de la Torre Colpatria que es, por ahora, el edificio más alto de la ciudad.

Es un plan turístico imperdible para residentes y visitantes, que nos recuerda que somos pequeñas hormigas en esta gran jungla de concreto, de la que a veces no notamos su belleza mientras estamos
inmersa en ella.

Lógicamente hay que vestirse cómodo y con zapatos adecuados para estar en una azotea y para caminar por la ciudad y estar abrigados porque el viento a esta altura es muy fuerte.

Espero que disfruten las fotos y recorran su ciudad como si fueran turistas.

Hello everyone.

A few years ago an advertising campaign invited to visit the city of Bogotá in order to be «2600 meters closer to the stars» taking in count for the height that has Bogotá
from the level of the sea.

Taking advantage of a beautiful sunny day, I was with my couple 192 meters closer to the sky, overlooking the vastness of the city from the viewpoint of the Colpatria tower,
which is by now, the tallest building in the city.

It is a good tourist plan for residents and visitors, which reminds us that we are small ants in this huge jungle of concrete, which sometimes we do not notice their beauty while we are immersed in it.

The clothes and shoes should be comfortable for a roof and for walking around the city and staying warm because the wind at this point is very strong.

Esta semana en Bogotá se realiza el evento B Capital que reúne nuevos diseñadores con otros que ya tienen trayectoria, en una locación de estilo industrial que combina perfectamente las paredes rusticas de una bodega con las bellas telas y diseños.

Asistí con una amiga diseñadora de joyas y me entretuve con los stands de marcas de ropa y accesorios que no conocía, conteniéndome para no vender mi alma al diablo para comprar la mitad de los artículos.

Entre los desfiles, me deleité viendo los looks de los asistentes, todos ávidos de disfrutar de la moda colombiana, y me sentí gratamente sorprendida de notar cómo cada persona tiene su propio estilo y se siente bien en su elemento, incluso aquellos que nos puedan parecer extraños o excesivos.

Los miraba y pensaba en algunos casos que amaría vestirme como esa persona, y en otros casos pensaba que no usaría ese atuendo ni obligada, pero admiraba que representara su estilo por encima de la opinión de los demás.

Así que disfruté feliz este espacio con mi falda midi de pailetes en tono cobre muy en tendencia en este momento, tenis rosados para estar cómoda al recorrer el sitio y conservar la paleta de colores que propone la falda que era la pieza central y llamativa. Un top negro, una chaqueta de Jean y un bolso amplio finalizan el look con el que atendí el llamado de la moda que vengo escuchando hace años.

B Capital is held this week in Bogota introducing us new and recognized fashion designers at in industrial-style location that combines perfectly the walls of a winery with beautiful fabrics and designs.

I went with a friend whom is a jewelry designer and we enjoyed the new brands of apparel and accessories that we did not know, and I had to fight with myself in order to not sell my soul to the devil to buy half of the pieces.

Between shows, I was seeing the looks of the attendees, and I was pleasantly surprised to notice how each person has their own style and feels good in its element, even those that might seem strange or excessive.

I looked at them and thought sometimes that I would love to dress me as that person, and in other cases, I believed that not it would wear that outfit but I admired the representation of their style over the opinion of others.

So, I enjoyed this space with my midi skirt in copper color on trend at this time, pink snickers in order to be comfortable to walk for all the place and preserve the color palette proposed by the skirt that was the central piece. A black top, a Jean jacket and a big bag completed the look.

Hola a todos. Hace muchos años la moda colombiana no tenía el reconocimiento del que goza ahora y para algunas personas resultaba más interesante vestir ropa importada, por el diseño y la calidad aún por encima de los altos precios.

Actualmente los diseños colombianos decoran las pasarelas y vitrinas de varios países, por lo que me siento orgullosa de poder llevarlos.

En esta ocasión uso un vestido de Olga Piedrahita en tela de jean que se ajusta perfecto a mi cuerpo, unas sandalias de Mercedes Campuzano y un bolso de diseño divertido de Maria Luisa Ortiz y Diego Guarnizo para la marca SoyDiegoyMariaLuisa. Todas estas prendas fueron bellamente diseñadas conociendo el cuerpo de la mujer colombiana y sus gustos en cuanto a telas, colores y diseños.

Consideré que el look era apropiado para almorzar con familiares el fin de semana: Algo de jean sin que sea muy informal y algo de tacón pero de mediana altura para mayor comodidad. Y no olviden un buen abrigo que cubra con color el atuendo al final del evento.

Hello everyone. Many years ago, the Colombian fashion had not the recognition that enjoys now and for some people it was more interesting to wear imported clothes, by design and quality even over high prices.

Currently Colombian designs decorate the catwalks and showcases of various countries, so I am proud to be able to wear them.

This time I use a dress by Olga Piedrahita made in jean fabric that fits perfect to my body, a Mercedes Campuzano sandals and a funny bag of Maria Luisa Ortiz and Diego Guarnizo for SoyDiegoyMariaLuisa brand design. All these items were beautifully designed knowing the bodies of colombian women and their taste in fabrics, colors and designs.

I thought that the look was appropriate for lunch with family on the weekend: something of jean but not informal and some of heel but medium for comfort. In addition, do not forget a good coat covering with color the look at the end of the event.
