En la moda pueden existir dos tipos de personas: las que visten muy coloridas y las que aman el blanco y negro. A mi parecer soy la unión de ambas, porque dependiendo de mi estado de ánimo escojo una paleta  o la otra para manifestar mi alegría con color o sentirme más elegante en atuendos monocromáticos.

Este día  he decido inundarlo de color y aventurarme con combinaciones que en otros tiempos me hubieran parecido difíciles: Azul y Naranja.

El pantalón fue el centro del look y desde ahí decidí las demás piezas, de acuerdo al estampado. Zapatos de Zara y Blusa en azul, y bolso de Catherine Malandrino en naranja para romper el hilo de las tonalidades.

Me gustó mucho lucir vibrante en un día gris, y espero que a ustedes también les guste.

In fashion, may exist two types of people: one of them that dress very colorful and the others that love the black and  white.  I am the union of both, because depending on the mood I choose  to express my joy with color or feel me more elegant in monochromatic outfits.

I decided to flood this day with color and take an adventure with combinations that in other times would have seemed difficult to me: blue and orange.

The trousers was the center of the look and from there I decided to other parts, according to the pattern. Shoes from Zara and  blue blouse, and bag from Catherine Malandrino in Orange to break the tones.

I liked to feel  me vibrant in a gray day, and I hope you like also.

Las blusas campesinas o llamadas “Off the shoulder” han regresado de la década de los 60’s para convertirse en las protagonistas de esta temporada y acompañarnos por un buen tiempo.

 

Tienen dentro de sus ventajas que favorecen todos los tipos de cuerpo y son sexys sin revelar demasiado. Aptas para días casuales o eventos formales y las podemos encontrar con múltiples detalles femeninos que las hacen más hermosas.

La que luzco en esta ocasión me enamoró porque tiene detalles en troquelado en las mangas que la alejan de lo simple y al ser larga pude usarla con leggins para asistir a un evento al aire libre, combinado con un cinturón delgado para acentuar las curvas.

The “Off the Shoulder” blouses have returned from the 60´s to become the trend of this season.

They have advantages such as support all body types and they are sexy without revealing too much. Suitable for a casual day or formal events and we can find them with multiple female details that make them more beautiful.

I fell in love of this blouse because it has a die-cut details on the sleeves that away it from the simple and is enough long, so I could use it with Leggings for an outdoors event, combined with a skinny belt to accentuate the curves.

Me gustan mucho los vestidos porque me siento cómoda y femenina. Sin embargo, resido en una ciudad con un clima cambiante que a veces es muy frío, y debo acudir a ciertos accesorios para poder usar los vestidos que me gustan sin morir congelada.

El vestido de hoy es muy amplio en la cintura por lo que es muy cómodo, porque seguro algunas veces ustedes como yo, no queremos sentirnos apretadas en la ropa.

Lo he combinado con un cárdigan y accesorios azules, medias veladas y botines porque ha sido un día frío.

Es una opción que espero les guste para no dejar la ropa veraniega escondida en el closet esperando mejores climas.

I like dresses so much because I feel comfortable and feminine. However, I live in a city with a changing climate that sometimes is very cold, and I have to use some accessories in order to use them without die frozen.

Today‘s dress is very wide in the waist so it is very comfortable; for sure sometimes (like me) you  don’t want to feel tight in the clothes.

I have combined it with a cardigan and blue accessories, tights and boots because it was a cold day.

Is an option that I hope you like it, and in that way not leave the summer clothes hidden in the closet waiting for best climates.

La tendencia sporty chic ha inundado las calles y las redes sociales. Se trata de combinar prendas elegantes con otras deportivas para lograr una estética casual pero con estilo, y con un beneficio adicional: sentirnos cómodas.

En esta ocasión he combinado este pantalón negro de estilo jogger con camisa blanca, camiseta a modo de chaleco y tacones para asistir a un musical.

Para soportar las bajas temperaturas he acudido a un abrigo rojo de la marca Julio que encontré a un precio razonable. 

 Esta es una buena opción para ingresar a esta tendencia, si aún están tímidas de incluir acentos deportivos en su atuendo. A mí me gustó mucho la combinación y creo que no desentona ninguna de las piezas.

The sporty chic trend has flooded the streets and the social networks showing combinations of elegant garments with other sporty to achieve a casual but stylish aesthetic, and with an additional benefit:  we feel comfortable.

This time I combined this jogger style pants with a white shirt, t-shirt as a vest and heels to attend a theatre.

I ended the outfit with a red coat from Julio that I found in a reasonable price. 

This is a good option to enter to this tendency, if you feel shy of include sports accents in your look. I liked so much the combination and I hope you like it also.

El lazo al cuello fue la respuesta que tuvieron las mujeres al uso de la corbata en el ambiente laboral de los años 70’s, tanto así que Margaret Thatcher la usó como su uniforme cuando ejerció como Primer Ministro de Reino Unido.

 

Este vestido lo compré en Forever 21 y he escuchado a muchas chicas decir que no encuentran muchas opciones, o que su target es demasiado juvenil y adolescente.

Parte del problema puede ser que hay demasiada ropa en el almacén y esto puede resultar abrumador, pero la buena calidad de las prendas y los buenos precios son un aliciente para buscar a fondo hasta encontrar algún tesoro.

Este es el tipo de tienda donde quizá no encuentres algo que te guste a primera vista, necesita trabajo y paciencia, pero bien vale la pena.

The bow on blouses was the response to the use of ties in the work environment of the 70’s, even Margaret Thatcher used it as her uniform when he served as Prime Minister of United Kingdom.

I bought this dress in Forever 21 and I have heard many girls say to me that they never find clothes there.

Part of the problem may be that there are too many clothes in the store and this can be overwhelming. But, the good quality and good prices are an incentive to look further in order to find some treasure.

This is the kind of store where perhaps you don’t find something you like at first sight, you need work and patience, but it is well worth.

Para un día de reuniones y toma de decisiones prioritarias, he optado por una falda tubo que considero favorece todo tipo de cuerpo – Guía para usar Falda Lápiz – una camisa blanca sencilla y un blazer negro. Los zapatos con tacón medio en animal print y un bolso negro complementan el atuendo.

He combinado prendas de diferentes marcas low cost para lograr un atuendo ejecutivo que parezca más costoso, gracias a los colores neutros, la calidad de las telas y la combinación de estampados en la misma gama.

For a day of meetings and priority decision-making, I chose a skirt which I think favors all kinds of body, a simple white shirt and a black blazer. Shoes with medium heel in animal print and a black bag complement
the outfit.

I combined different low cost brands to achieve an executive outfit that may seem expensive, thanks to neutral colors, quality fabrics and the combination of prints.

Las camisas de jean son de las prendas más versátiles que existen. Debo confesar que me encantan porque pueden usarse de muchas formas, combinadas con muchas prendas y en diferentes climas, aunque verdaderamente no ayudan a soportar el frio extremo.

En esta ocasión la he combinado con una falda negra con brocados de Zara y unos zapatos de flores de Payless que amo y que me gusta usar sobre todo cuando el resto del atuendo es muy neutral y me siento  más “colorida”.

Este tipo de camisas en jean son una económica inversión para muchos años, porque su durabilidad es alta y jamás dejan de ser tendencia. Así que les aconsejo comprar una o dos de diferente tono (prelavado)  e iremos compartiendo las muchas posibilidades que existen para combinarla.

Jean shirts are the most versatile garment that exists. I must confess that I love them because they can be used in many ways, combined with many garments and in different climates, although not truly help to withstand extreme cold.

This time I combined it with a black skirt with brocades from Zara and a pair of shoes with flowers from Payless that I love and that I like to use especially when the rest of the outfit is very neutral and I feel
more «colorful».

This type of shirts in jean is an economic investment for many years, because its durability is high and never ceases to be trend. So I advise you to buy one or two in different tone (pre-wash) and we will be sharing
the many possibilities that exist to combine it.

Veníamos de una estética muy masculina con camisas anchas y largas sin ajustarse al cuerpo, zapatos planos tipo mocasín de hombre y pantalones rectos.

 

Pero ahora felizmente para mí, ha vuelto la tendencia romántica y delicada de los estampados florales y los boleros en la ropa.

 

Para honrar esa feminidad, he combinado en este atuendo para ir a la oficina una blusa con estampado floral, una falda negra con un detalle de bolero y corte irregular al final que he encontrado en una pequeña boutique, tacones y un bolso negro de mano.

We came from a very male aesthetic with wide and long shirts without adjusting to the body, moccasins and straight pants.

But now happily for me, we are viewing delicate and romantic floral prints and feminine design in clothing.

To honor the  femininity, I have combined in this outfit to go to the office a blouse with floral print, a black skirt with a detail of bolero and irregular cut that I found in a small boutique, heels and a black bag.

El estampado chevron tiene forma de zigzag, generalmente formado por dos colores, y su origen se remonta a la heráldica, es decir, a los escudos de armas de las familias antiguas, donde era utilizado con el borde superior hacia arriba como una montaña y su significado era la protección y la inspiración para hacer obras a partir de la fe. 

He combinado la camiseta con este diseño con una falda tubo azul índigo y tacones cerrados color naranja para romper un poco la monotonía del color. Y compruebo que combinar prendas low cost (como la camiseta) con marcas reconocidas funciona muy bien, y podemos lucir chic sin caer en bancarrota.

 

Finalizo el atuendo con accesorios rojos, en un afán de no verme tan “azul”. Espero que no crean que me he vuelto un poco loca con las tonalidades.

The chevron pattern
is a zigzag design usually of two colors, and its origin goes back to the Heraldry, I mean the names of shields of ancient families, where was used with the top up as a mountain and its meaning the protection and the inspiration to do works from faith.

 

I have combined the t-shirt with this design with a indigo skirt and orange heels to break a little the monotony of the color. I note that combine low cost garments (like t-shirt) with recognized brands works very well, and we can look chic without falling into bankruptcy.

 

I finished the outfit with red accessories, in a desire of not seeing so «blue». I hope that you don’t think that I’ve become a little crazy with the colors.

Los sacos con botones son un básico en el guardarropa para las ciudades con clima frío o cambio de estación. Son abrigados sin ser pesados y se pueden combinar con todo: pantalones, vestidos y faldas.

Este saco color salmón lo descubrí en un almacén dedicado casi exclusivamente a productos de hogar y alimentos, y fue una agradable sorpresa  por su buen ajuste, calidad y sobre todo precio.

Este post es una invitación a recorrer los grandes almacenes y supermercados en busca de prendas básicas a precios cómodos. Seguramente no encontrarán piezas de diseño, pero sí aquellas que llamamos “fondo de armario” y que son indispensables.

A lo mejor, con paciencia, puedan hallar algunos tesoros.
